PM Imran visits Quetta to review coronavirus situation

Quetta (Staff Report/Agencies): Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday arrived in Quetta to review the coronavirus situation in the province.

The prime minister was received by Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal on arrival in the city. He is accompanied by federal ministers Asad Umer and Zubaida Jalal.

The PM was also briefed about the current situation and the steps taken by the authorities to stem the spread of the virus in the province.

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Pakistan on Thursday rose to 4,317.

At least 2, 166 cases reported in Punjab, 1036 in Sindh, 560 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 212 in Balochistan, 213 in Gilgit Baltistan, 102 in Islamabad, and 28 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

According to the National Command and Control Centre, the death toll related to COVID-19 has reached 63, while at least 572 patients have fully recovered.
