Woman wounded in unprovoked Indian firing across LoC

Rawalpindi (Staff Report): Indian forces resorted to unprovoked firing across the Line of Control (LoC) inside Pakistani territory in Baroh area of Bhimber sector on Wednesday night, leaving one woman injured, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.

According to the media wing of Pak army, ISPR, the attack on Wednesday night targeted the civilian population. The Pakistan Army responded effectively.

The Pakistan Army befittingly responded to Indian unprovoked firing, said ISPR spokesperson. Baroh is said to be a populated area of Bhimber is Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

A few weeks back, a man had died as a result of unprovoked firing by Indian security forces along LoC, ISPR had said.

The 25-year-old labourer, Ashfaq, was injured as a result of Indian firing in Khuiratta sector. However, he later succumbed to his injuries.

ISPR said in a statement, "Another innocent life lost to Indian irresponsible attitude."
