Islamabad (Staff Report): Former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan denies Pakistan Army’s role in dismissal of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and we do not have any conflict with Army.
According to details, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan ruled out the role of Pakistan Army behind the disqualification of Nawaz Sharif in the Panama Papers case.
While talking to a private channel, the senior member of ruling Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz said neither PMLN has any conflict with army nor army has anything to do with Nawaz Sharif’s ouster.
Ch. Nisar declared that the conflict with the army and the Supreme Court (SC) was a wrong move that would weaken ‘our position’ instead of strengthening it.”
He maintained the statement that a few party members advised confronting institutions but declared that no political goals could be achieved through this conflict.
Earlier, the statement came a day after Nisar, a blunt representative of embattled PML-N termed the comparison between slain PPP leader Benazir Bhutto and Maryam Nawaz wrong.
He added, “The role of Maryam Nawaz is that she was daughter of Nawaz Sharif.”
