4 martyred, several injured in Quetta blast 

Quetta (Web Desk): At least four people, including two policemen were martyred and several others injured in an explosion in Kandahari Bazaar area of Quetta on Monday.

According to reports, the explosion occurred near a police vehicle in the busy market at Shahrah-e-Iqbal in Balochistan's capital.

Soon after the explosion, security forces cordoned off the area and rescue services shifted the dead bodies and injured to hospital.

According to Media Coordinator Health Department Balochistan Dr Waseem Baig, four bodies were brought to the Civil Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

He said that the deceased were identified as Maseem Abbasi, Muhammad Shuaib, Hikmatullah and Kulsoom daughter of Hameedullah

Dr Waseem added those injured in the blast also included Dilbar Khan, Nisar, Muhammad Ramzan, Lal Muhammad, Naseebullah, Jan Muhammad, Haris, Mir Gull, and Khalid.

The law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area and started the investigation into the incident.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Monday strongly condemned the blast in Quetta.

He condoled with the bereaved families whose loved ones were martyred in the terror explosion.

The prime minister prayed for the elevation of ranks of the martyred and for early recovery of those who were injured in the attack.

He directed officials to provide all possible medical facilities to the injured.

PM Shehbaz sought a report about the terrorist attack from the authorities concerned.

He said that the nefarious designs of the terrorists would be foiled.
