Dubai (Staff Report): Quetta Gladiator modest total of 137 runs turned out to be too much for Lahore Qalanders with both sides relishing the upper hand ever now and then.
Tymal 17th over turned out to be too much for Lahore Qalanders as two wickets dropped spontaneously exposing the tail of Lahore Qalandar. Pressure favoured Gladiators and a rash run out threw the match in their lap.
Match was well poised even at the last moment as Lahore Qalander needed 11 runs on 11 balls as Yasir Shah lofted it with an easy catch for Quetta's Hassan who has also bowled the ball.
Quetta Gladiators set 137/9 runs target for Lahore Qalandars in the first match of the second day in Pakistan Super League (PSL) on Friday.
Rilee Rossouw was the only Quetta batsman who scored 60 off 47. His innings included three fours and two sixes. Asad Shafiq made 29 off 28 deliveries.
Lahore Qalandars won the toss and decided to bowl first.
