Pakistan, Kazakhstan agree to expand cooperation in diverse fields

Islamabad (Web Desk/Agencies): Pakistan and Kazakhstan have agreed to further expand bilateral cooperation in the fields of energy, agriculture, Information Technology and textiles.

According to a press release issued by Prime Minister's Office (PMO) Media Wing, the understanding came during a telephonic conversation between Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan, on Saturday.

During the conversation, PM Shehbaz underscored that Pakistan deeply valued its bilateral relations with Kazakhstan.

Highlighting the importance of increasing tourism and enhancing people to people contacts, the prime minister expressed satisfaction that flight operations between two countries would commence soon.

Characterizing Pakistan as an important country in the region, the Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed his country’s desire to further strengthen their long standing bilateral ties.

PM Shehbaz also invited President Tokayev to pay an official visit to Pakistan at his earliest convenience.
