Investigation officer of Qandeel Baloch murder case dismissed

Multan (Staff Report): The investigation officer of model Qandeel Baloch murder case has been dismissed for not submitting the final challan after passing of 15 months’ time.

According to details, Chief Police Officer Chaudhry Muhammad Saleem dismissed sub-inspector Noor Akber of Multan's Muzzafarabad police station upon failure to submit challan in the court.

The court had repeatedly ordered Akber to submit challan so that the case could proceed further.

Sub-inspector Akber had sought  time from the court several times but failed to submit the challan, following which the court had also issued orders for seizing the investigation officer’s salary.

Already four investigation officers have been changed in the qandeel Baloch murder case.

Model Qandeel Baloch, shot to fame for her provocative selfies that polarised Pakistan, was strangled in July by her brother Muhammad Waseem.
