Islamabad (Staff Report/Agencies): Prime Minister Imran Khan will chair the Federal Cabinet meeting today (Tuesday).
According to sources, the meeting is likely to announce Rs15 billion package to provide relief to the consumers from back-breaking inflation. The meeting will also discuss overall economic and political situation of the country, they added.
The cabinet will consider diverting Rs15 billion from the Ehsaas Programme allocation towards providing subsidies to the masses. The relief will be provided through the Utility Stores Corporation (USC).
On Monday, while chairing a high-level meeting, PM Khan announced to go any extent to provide relief to the masses especially the poor and the salaried class.
