Punjab resumes Lahore, Rawalpindi-Islamabad metro bus service

Lahore (Web Desk): The Punjab government has decided to resume metro bus service in Lahore and the twin cities of Rawalpindi Islamabad from Wednesday (today) with prescribed Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs).

According to details, face masks will be mandatory for everyone and passengers are directed to leave middle seat empty.

Staff of the Punjab Masstransit Authority (PMA) are issuing limited number of tickets as only 38 passengers are allowed to travel in one metro bus.

On August 10, the Punjab government announced to lift all restrictions ending the smart lockdown, imposed to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus across the province.

The Metro Bus services were suspended in March this year after the government imposed lockdown in the wake of COVID-19.
