Indian unprovoked firing along LoC leaves 2 civilians martyred: ISPR

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): At least two civilians embraced martyrdom and three others injured on Monday due to Indian unprovoked firing along the line of control (LoC) at Jandrot and Hot spring sector.

The ISPR reported, the Indian troops used heavy weapons including mortars however, Pakistan Army effectively responded to the firing.

There are reports that this inflicted damage to the Indian posts and caused casualties.

Meanwhile, on Monday foreign office in Islamabad summoned Indian Deputy High Commissioner J. P Singh and a strong protest was lodged with him over recent Indian firing on Line of Control (LoC).

Deliberate targeting of civilians is condemnable and contrary to human dignity and international human rights and humanitarian laws, the foreign office said.
