PAF to hold air show in Islamabad, Karachi for Independence Day celebrations

Islamabad (APP): The sky over will be filled with the rainbow colours, emanating from the roaring jets on Independence Day in the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) air shows going to be held in Karachi and Islamabad on August 14.

A number of official events are planned on Sunday to celebrate the country's 70th Independence Day.

The air show will be held at Fatima Jinnah Park, F-9 Park, Islamabad and Sea View Beach, Karachi.

On Saturday, a full-dress rehearsal was carried out in Islamabad with PAF jets whizzing the capital's sky in connection with the preparations for the largest ever air show by PAF in the history of Pakistan to mark its 70th birth anniversary.

Radio Pakistan reported that the special appearance of 'Solo Turk' — the famous aerobatic team of the Turkish Air Force — and the internationally acclaimed 'Saudi Hawks' of Royal Saudi Air Force alongside PAF jets will add colours to the event.

The event will also feature a para-drop by tri-services personnel of the elite Special Services Group (SSG).
