Peshawar/ Karachi/ Quetta (Staff Report): The newly-elected MPAs took oath of their office as the inaugural sessions of the new Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh and Balochistan Assemblies were convened on Monday.
Sardar Aurangzeb Nalota administered to the newly elected members of the Provincial Assembly in Peshawar. PML-N’s Mr Nalota was appointed by KP Governor to fill in for outgoing speaker Asad Qaiser, who was sworn in as MNA.
The session of newly elected Sindh Assembly convened at new Sindh Assembly building in Karachi. Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani administered the oath.
The oath from the members was administered in Urdu, Sindhi and English languages.
Balochistan Assembly session held in Quetta. Speaker Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani administered oath to the newly-elected members of the provincial assembly.
The session of the Punjab Assembly has been summoned on Wednesday, August 15 at 10am.
Earlier on Monday morning, the newly-elected MNAs took oath in the inaugural session of the 15th National Assembly.
The outgoing Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq administered oath to the newly elected members.
Elections for Speaker and Deputy Speaker of National Assembly will be held on August 15.
