Pharmaceutical manufacturers Association holds strike across Punjab, patients upset

Lahore (Staff Report): Pharmaceutical manufacturers Association are at strike across Punjab, patients are in trouble.

According to reports, Pakistan Pharmaceutical manufacturers association is to be held strike against the new Drug Act, across the province Punjab.

Most of the medical stores are closed in cities and the diabetes, blood pressure and heart patients are facing difficulties while operations have been delayed due to strike.
Associations of Sindh and KPK province had announced support for the strike.

Under the New Drug Act in Punjab, if a prison is found involved in selling substandard medicine will be charged with a five years prison and Rs. one million and five years prison and Rs five million for selling counterfeit medicines, while Rs. ten million for being accused of selling medicines without a license.
