Peshawar (Staff Report): A lecturer of Islamia College Peshawar arrested on suspicion of selling drugs to the students .

According to police, Bashir Ahmad, a lecturer in the English department, was arrested from Regi Model Town. A total of 20 grammes of ‘ice’ and 150 grammes of ‘hashish’ were recovered from the lecturer , police added.

Initial investigations suggest the teacher was supplying drugs in the varsity.

According to, ‘ice’ is the street name for the illegal drug methamphetamine – which mainly comes in the form of a white powder or crystals. It can be swallowed, snorted, injected, or as is becoming more common, smoked.
