Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Imran Khan reached Saudi Arabia on a daylong visit to discuss bilateral ties and regional situation.

According to a Foreign Office (FO) statement, the visit is part of regular exchanges between the leadership of both the countries.

The Prime Minister will hold talks with Saudi leadership on the entire spectrum of bilateral relations as well as the regional situation, the Radio Pakistan reported.

This would be PM Imran's fourth visit to Saudi Arabia this year. His earlier visits were in May, September and October 2019. From the Saudi side, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman paid a state visit to Pakistan in February 2019.

The ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) said in a tweet that the PM arrived in Madina where he would pay his respects at Roza-e-Rasool (SAW) and offer nawafil in Masjid-i-Nabvi before heading to Riyadh for “official engagements”.

Upon arrival, PM Imran was received by Madina Deputy Governor Prince Saud Bin Khalid Al-Faisal and prior to that in Jeddah by Pakistan's Consul General Khalid Majeed. Foreign Secretary Sohail Mehmood is also accompanying the prime minister.
