Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Imran Khan has prayed for the speedy and full recovery of renowned religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jamil from COVID-19.
In his message on Twitter, the premier said, “Praying for Maulana Tariq Jamil's speedy and full recovery from Covid 19.”

Maulana Tariq Jamil was admitted into the hospital after being tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
In his tweet on Sunday, Maulana Tariq said he had been feeling sick for several days, after which his test returned positive.
"I have been admitted to the hospital on the advice of doctors, special prayers are requested," he wrote.

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Pakistan rose to 440,787 on Monday after 2,362 new coronavirus cases surfaced in the country during the last 24 hours.
According to the government's Covid-19 portal, the death toll related to coronavirus has reached 8,832 with 36 fatalities reported during the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, total number of recovered COVID-19 patients across the country reached 384,719 after another 1,719 virus recoveries were reported in the last twenty four hours.
