Rain spell expected Nationwide over weekend: Met office

Lahore (Web Desk): Heavy isolated monsoon rain with thunderstorm is expected at different places of the country over the weekend, Met Office said.

According to details, ongoing spell of isolated rain with thunderstorm will be received in Sindh, Islamabad, eastern Balochistan, upper Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Bahawalpur, D.G. Khan divisions, Kashmir, FATA and Gilgit-Baltistan during the next twelve hours.

According to the synoptic situation, seasonal low lies over north Balochistan. Monsoon currents are penetrating upper/central parts of the country and likely to continue during next 24 hours. A westerly wave is affecting upper parts of the country. Monsoon currents will start penetrating in Sindh from Saturday.

Temperature recorded on Friday morning was:

Lahore 27 °C, Islamabad 25°C, Karachi 29 °C, Peshawar 28 °C, Quetta 21°C, Gilgit 19 °C, Murree 17 °C and Muzaffarabad 23 °C.
