Islamabad (Agencies): Turkish Foreign Minister, Mevlut Cavusoglu has arrived in Islamabad on a two-day official visit to Pakistan. He was received by senior officials of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan.
Earlier in a statement, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said apart from meeting his Pakistani counterpart, Mevlut Cavusoglu will also call on President Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan.
During the meetings, the relations between Turkey and Pakistan will be discussed; and views will be exchanged on regional and international developments, the statement added.
Both countries enjoy strong ties as recently when Turkey engulfed by a severe economic crisis following a diplomatic war with the United States, Imran Khan, then prime minister-in-waiting, extended support for President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
