Lahore (Staff Report): Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan Ajay Bisaria has cancelled his three-day visit to Lahore after Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president and Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has turned down the request to meet the diplomat.
Sharif had turned down the official request for meeting, citing the use of brutal force and state-terrorism against unarmed Kashmiris in Indian-held Kashmir.
According to sources, the Indian high-commissioner was all set to meet traders and journalists during his three-day visit but later he cancelled his trip.
It is pertinent to mention here that Indian forces have martyred over 30 Kashmiris in a fresh wave of state-terrorism. The situation in occupied-Kashmir has been out-of-control since Burhan Wani’s extra-judicial killing which led to widespread protests in the valley.
