Panamagate Case: SC to resume hearing today after two weeks gap

Islamabad (Staff Report): The Supreme Court (SC) will resume the hearing of Panama Leaks case today (Wednesday) after a two weeks break.

A five-member larger bench of the Supreme Court led by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa was formed on 31 December and the hearing had started on 4 January.

During previous hearings, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf s (PTI) lawyer Naeem Bukhari and Jamaat Islami’s (JI) lawyer Taufeeq Ahmed gave their arguments while PM Nawaz’s lawyer Makhdoom Ali Khan and Maryam Nawaz, Captain Safdar and Ishaq Dar s lawyer Shahid Hamid defended the arguments.

Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed had a problem with his heart when Hassan and Hussain Nawaz’s lawyer Salman Akram Raja was giving his arguments and the hearing was adjourned until 6 February.

But the hearing was adjourned for two weeks, till 15 February, as the Justice was recommended to take rest for health recovery.
