PIA will resume flight operation from Peshawar to Kaula Lumpur by March

Islamabad (Staff Report/Agencies): Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will resume flight operation from Kuala Lumpur to Peshawar from March or April this year, Minister for Privatisation and Aviation Muhammad Mian Soomro told the National Assembly on Tuesday.

Responding to Calling Attention Notice, moved by Sher Akbar Khan, Mehboob Shah, Dr Haider Ali Khan, Junaid Akbar and Saleem Rehman in the National Assembly, the minister said currently PIA has no aircraft to immediately resume the flight operations from Peshawar to Kuala Lumpur,

Sher Akbar Khan said a large number of people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were working in Malaysia as they have to catch their flights from Karachi and Lahore for going to Malaysia.

He said it eventually leads to waste of time as direct flight from Peshawar may reach Kuala Lumpur in only five hours.
