Don’t push PPP against the wall: Bilawal

Malakand(Staff Report): Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that general elections should be held on time.

Addressing a press conference here on Sunday Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) was being pushed against the wall that was unacceptable.

The PPP chairman said that local administrations are targeting PPP and treating differently than other political parties. He said that the matter would be taken to the Election Commission of Pakistan.

He stated further that all state institutions should work within their framework.

The PPP chairman said that a controversial election will create a controversial Parliament that would be unable to solve the problems of the masses.

Bilawal Bhutto, strongly condemning terrorist attacks on political gatherings, said such incidents were aimed to create an atmosphere of fear ahead of general elections in the country.

He said Election Commission and interim government are responsible to hold general elections in a free and fair manner.

The PPP chairman said they should also address reservations of all the political parties to ensure transparency in the elections.

PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Saturday suspended his political activities all over Pakistan in solidarity with Mastung victims’ families.

During his two-day visit to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Bilawal had planned to stage public gatherings in Peshawar but especially Malakand —whose NA-9 constituency he will be contesting the July 25 polls too.

"Devastated by continued attacks on innocent Pakistanis. loss of shaheed Siraj Raisani & 120 innocent people in Mastung cannot be in vain must insure this mindset is defeated. Have suspended my political activities in solidarity ," Bilawal said in a tweet.
