PML-N, PPP foreign funding pleas: SC adjourns hearing for indefinite time

Islamabad (Staff Report): Supreme Court on Wednesday granted more time to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to prepare for the foreign funding cases that it had filed against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in the apex court.

Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Saqib Nisar heard the appeals filed by PTI leaders Shireen Mazari and Asad Umar in his chamber.

PTI counsel Faisal Chaudhry informed the court that he was busy in other cases and could not prepare for the appeals. He requested the SC to give him some time for preparation.

The court granted the time and adjourned the hearing for indefinite time.

PTI’s Asad Umar had submitted an appeal against PML-N for alleged foreign funding while the same allegation was made by Shireen Mazari against PPP.
