Lahore (Web Desk): Superstar Mahira Khan has demanded safety of women and children.
After attending a protest demonstration to demand the safety of women and children, the actress took to Instagram for sharing a picture from the protest with a caption that read:
“We demand a secure nation for all women!! At home, on the streets, at work, alone, not alone, with kids, without kids, in a skirt or in a burkha. Where ever she may be, whoever she may be - we demand basic rights of safety. Proud of my industry for coming together for this cause - United we are stronger, our voices are more powerful and impactful”

On September 9, 2020, mother of two children was looted and raped at gunpoint on motorway near Gujjarpura area of the Punjab province.
The woman was reportedly travelling in a car along with her two children when some unknown accused overpowered her. After raping and robbing the victim of valuables and cash, the suspects escaped from the scene.
