Quetta (Web Desk): At least eight people were killed and several others were injured in an explosion near Quetta Press Club located on Shahrah-e-Iqbal on Monday.
According to details, the blast took place as a demonstration was ongoing near the press club.
Police and security forces cordoned off the area and are conducting an investigation into the incident. The injured and bodies were shifted to the Civil Hospital.
Police said that the blast had severely damaged nearby building and vehicles.
Relief efforts are being carried out in the area. An emergency has been imposed in the Civil Hospital to deal with the situation.
As per the initial reports, the nature of the blast has not yet been ascertained.
