Drone strike near Pak-Afghan border on second consecutive day: sources

Peshawar (Staff Report): Two drone strikes have been reported in Afghanistan's Paktia province, bordering Pakistan's Kurram Agency on Tuesday, sources said.

There are no reports regarding the causalities but being feared. The strike has been carried out in the province where Taliban today (Tuesday) stormed a police training centre in Gardez.

The death toll from a US drone attack in the same area on Monday has risen to 26, officials said on Tuesday, less than a week after a US-Canadian family held captive by the militants was rescued.

A foreign news agency has claimed the strikes occurred in Kurram Agency, political administration in the agency says the strikes targeted militants in Shpola area of Afghanistan's Paktia province.
