Next PSL will be held entirely in Pakistan, says PM Imran

Islamabad (Staff Report): Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that next Pakistan Super League will be held entirely in Pakistan.

In a tweet, the PM congratulated the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the country’s security forces for holding a “successful PSL extravaganza in Pakistan”.

“Congratulations to PCB, all the organisers & security forces for holding a successful PSL extravaganza in Pakistan. Congratulations to Quetta Gladiators & their manager & my friend Viv Richards on their win. InshaAllah, the next PSL will be held entirely in Pakistan,” PM Imran tweeted.

On Sunday, Quetta Gladiators beat Peshawar Zalmi by eight wickets in the final clinch Pakistan Super League 2019 trophy.

Fast bowler Mohammad Hasnain's 3-30 and Ahmed Shehzad's unbeaten 59 played a pivotal role in scripting the decisive victory for the Gladiators.

Quetta's bowling attack restricted Peshawar to 138-8. In response, the Gladiators chased down the target in 17.5 overs.

Albeit Shane Watson (7)'s run-out and Ahsan Ali (25)'s soft dismissal by Wahab Riaz, the chase remained a walk in the park for the Gladiators.
