PM Imran launches digital power of attorney portal for overseas Pakistanis

Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday launched a digital portal to facilitate overseas Pakistanis for attestation of power of attorney.

Addressing the launching ceremony in Islamabad, the premier said that overseas Pakistanis are our asset.

“Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government is committed to bring ease in the lives of overseas Pakistanis,” he said.

PM Imran said that overseas Pakistanis are interested to invest in Pakistan but corruption is a hindrance.

“All embassies have been sensitized to facilitate overseas Pakistanis especially working class living in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia, ”PM Imran asserted.

Commenting on voting right of overseas Pakistanis, the premier said that inclusion of our people living abroad in electoral system will strengthen democracy.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) was also signed at the ceremony.

This portal will be linked with NADRA's database and it is initially being launched for ten countries.
