Bhikki (Web Desk): Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif inaugurated the 1,180 megawatt (MW) Bhikki Power Plant in Sheikhpura on Wednesday.
According to details, the Bhikki power plant is the first ever LNG-based power plant in the country and will contribute 313MW to the national grid. It was completed over a period of 18 months.
The premier was accompanied by Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Asif and Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah on his visit to Sheikhpura, where he was given a briefing regarding the power plant.
