First ODI: South Africa set 267-run target for Pakistan

Port Elizabeth (Agencies): South African set 267-run target for Pakistan in the first one-day international (ODI) at St George's Park in Port Elizabeth on Saturday.

Hashim Amla hit his 27th one-day international century as South Africa made 266 for two in the match. He (108 not out) shared a second-wicket partnership of 155 with debutant Rassie van der Dussen (93) but the pair were unable to dominate against steady bowling on a slow pitch.

Earlier, South Africa won the toss and opted to bat first.

Pakistan will try their best to bounce back from the setback of the 3-0 Test series defeat to gain the momentum ahead of the world cup.

Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Hafeez have been included the Pakistani squad for ODI series against South Africa.

Duanne Olivier and Rassie van der Dussen will be making their ODI debuts for the hosts.

In the absence of Dale Steyn, who has been rested for first two games, Olivier will expect to lead the attack from the front, who topped the charts with 24 wickets against Pakistan in the Test series.
