Accountability Court again summons ousted PM, children on September 26

Islamabad (Staff Report): Accountability Court reissued summons to Sharif family and Captain (r) Safdar for September 26 after they failed to appear before the court in connection with references filed by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in London flats and Azizia steel mill cases on Tuesday.

During the hearing, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) submitted an implementation report in court with regards to the summons issued to the accused.

NAB prosecutor informed Judge Mohammad Bashir that the family's security officer at their Lahore residence received the summons.

The court also dismissed NAB’s plea to issue arrest warrant for Sharif family, directing to paste summon notice on the wall of Nawaz Sharif’s house.

Ousted PM Nawaz Sharif, his children Maryam, Hassan and Hussain are currently in London because of the health issues of Kulsoom Nawaz.

SC had disqualified Nawaz Sharif in Panama case verdict on the basis of his non-withdrawn salary, considering it part of his assets on July 28.
