Security forces kill TTP commander in North Waziristan operation: ISPR

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) commander Safiullah was killed during an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) in Mir Ali area of North Waziristan, the military's media wing said on Monday.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces conducted the operation on the reported presence of terrorists.

The military's media wing stated that the TTP commander was involved in killing of four women of NGO in February 202.

The TTP commander was also said to be behind the targeted killing of the Frontier Works Organisation's (FWO) engineers in November 2020.

The notorious TTP militant was also involved in other activities including kidnapping for ransom, extortion and other offences.

Weapons and ammunition in large quantities were obtained from the notorious commander, the ISPR statement added.
