Karachi (Staff Report): An accountability court on Thursday allowed former minister for petroleum Dr Asim Hussain to travel abroad for medical treatment.
The court has permitted the PPP leader to get treatment abroad from February 24 till March 28.
During the last hearing, Dr Asim became unwell and was shifted to a hospital.
On March 2018, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) permitted Dr Asim Hussain, former petroleum Minister to go Dubai for the medical treatment.
According to details, the ATC conducted the hearing of the corruption references against Dr Asim Hussain.
Dr Asim submitted a plea for permission to go Dubai for treatment. The court inquired that Ziauddin hospital is Dr Asim’s own hospital is not there facility for Physiotharapy?
The court ordered to submit report about the availability of treatment facilities for Dr Asim in Ziauddin hospital.
It is pertinent to remember that the court has put charges on Dr Asim, of sheltering terrorists and criminals and providing them medical treatment at Hussain’s private hospitals.
