Pakistani prisoners freed from Saudi jails start reaching home

Lahore (Staff Report): At least five Pakistani prisoners release from Saudi jails arrived at Allama Iqbal International Airport on Thursday.

During his meeting with Saudi Crown Prince, Prime Minister Imran Khan had raised the issue of Pakistani prisoners languishing in Saudi jails.

Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman on Monday ordered to release at least 2,107 Pakistani prisoners in Saudi Arabia with immediate effect.

“As a sequel to Prime Minister of Pakistan request, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince of KSA Mohammad Bin Salman has ordered the immediate release of 2107 Pakistani prisoners Saudi Jails,” Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said in a tweet.

“HRH Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman has graciously agreed to free 2107 Pakistani prisoners in Saudi Arabia with immediate effect. Cases of the remaining will be reviewed.  People of Pakistan thank HRH for responding immediately to Prime Minister Imran Khan's request,” Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi shared that the Saudi crown prince ordered the release of Pakistani prisoners on Prime Minister Imran Khan's request.
