“Mian Nawaz Sharif” set to quit PML-N

Narowal (Staff Report): Annoyed with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Mian Nawaz Sharif has decided to leave his party.

Sharif, who has the same name as the party’s ‘Quaid for life’ former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, is a local worker of the embattled PML-N from Narowal.

The estranged leader said that he reached this decision as he was upset over the behaviour of party leadership and decided to join arch-rival political party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Meanwhile, former Federal Minister and PTI stalwart Firdous Ashiq Awan likely to join Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N).

According to sources, Awan has now decided to ditch Imran Khan-led PTI as the former minister wanted to become as president of women wing of the party PTI but the attitude of party leaders has compelled her to join their arch rival PML-N.

Dr Awan will meet PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif later on this month to announce her inclusion in the party, they added.
