Saudi King, Crown Prince pray for PM Imran early recovery from COVID-19

Islamabad (Web Desk): Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz have wished Prime Minister Imran Khan a speedy recovery from Covid-19.

The state-run Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that the two leaders sent messages to Prime Minister Imran about his health.

“The guardian of the two holy mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, sent a cable to Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan after his infection with the novel coronavirus,” SPA reported. A similar cable was sent by Prince Mohammad bin Salman.

SPA said the Saudi King and Crown Prince wished Prime Minister Imran Khan “permanent health and well-being and a speedy recovery.”

PM Imran and First Lady Bushra Bibi on Saturday tested positive for COVID-19.

The premier got infected just two days after he received his first vaccination against the disease. The 68-year-old former top cricketer received a shot of the Chinese-produced Sinopharm vaccine on Thursday, as the country battles a third wave of the virus.

On Monday, Pakistan reported 3669 new cases of coronavirus with 20 more deaths during last 24 hours.
The death toll from virus in the country has now reached 13,863 and 583,538 patients stand recovered from the pandemic disease.
