Nawaz, family reach court to attend NAB references hearing

Islamabad (Staff Report): Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif along with his daughter Maryam on Tuesday, has reached to attend hearing of three National Accountability Bureau (NAB) references at the Federal Judicial Complex.

The Judge Muhammad Bashir of Accountability Court hearing corruption references against Nawaz Sharif and his family will resume its proceedings shortly. Three prosecution witnesses are expected to appear and record their statements.

NAB had filed three corruption references against the Sharif family in September last year in light of the Supreme Court's July 28 verdict in the Panama Papers case.

The references against the Sharif family pertain to the Al-Azizia Steel Mills, offshore companies including Flagship Investment Ltd, and Avenfield properties of London.
