Lahore (Staff Report): Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah has claimed that Lahore DHA blast, which claimed ten lives and leaved dozens injured on Thursday, was not an act of terror but it was cylinder explosion.
Addressing a press conference on Friday, Rana Sanaullah said that samples collected from the building where the blast occurred did not contain traces of explosives, adding that it was likely the result of a gas leak. He maintained that until the investigation is completed a definitive cause of the explosion cannot be declared.
"We will take strict action against authorities involved in making substandard cylinders that led to this explosion," he said.
Panic gripped the area on Thursday when the loud explosion resonated across Z-Block. The area in the upscale DHA locality is a popular shopping centre with several restaurants.
