PM Imran to chair first Council of Common Interest meeting today

Islamabad (Staff Report): Prime Minister Imran Khan will chair the maiden meeting of the Council of Common Interest (CCI) today (Monday).

The meeting will be held at Prime Minister Office and it will be attended by Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa CM Mahmood Khan, Balochistan’s Jam Kamal, and other officials.

A seven-point agenda has been prepared for discussion in the high-profile meeting which will start at 11am.

The summaries pertaining to starting a national-level drive for cleanliness and streamlining the regulatory functions of the federal government will be tabled to get approval from the CCI.

The meeting will also discuss matters related to import of liquefied natural gas. Meanwhile, the Petroleum Exploration and Production Policy 2012, and Workers Welfare Fund and Employees Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) are also part of the agenda.
