Foreign Minister to leave for tri-country visit over America’s new policy

Islamabad (Staff Report): Minister for Foreign Affairs Khawaja Muhammad Asif will go on official visit to three countries in the following week over America’s new policy about Afghanistan and South Asia.

According to details, the dates of the minister’s official visit to China, Turkey and Russia are being finalized. He will discuss America’s new policy with leadership of these countries.

The decision of his official tour was taken during National Security Council meeting. Chaired by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, the meeting was held to discuss America’s allegations.

Meanwhile, the minister’s meeting with American counterpart Rex Wayne Tillerson to discuss region tours was cancelled.

Foreign Office Spokesperson Nafees Zakaria said during his weekly news briefing that Foreign Minister Muhammad Asif will visit the regional countries for consultation.
