Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid tests positive for COVID-19 again

Lahore (Web Desk): Punjab Minister for Health Dr Yasmin Rashid has tested positive for COVID-19 for the second time in a month.

The provincial health minister had first tested positive for COVID-19 on January 4.

According to her spokesperson, Dr Yasmin was self-isolating and was in a good health so far.

On the other hand, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Pakistan rose to 1,386,348 on Wednesday after 5,196 new cases surfaced in the country during the last 24 hours.

As per the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) data, 51,063 tests were conducted in last 24 hours while positivity ratio remained 10.17%.

According to the government's COVID-19 portal, the death toll related to coronavirus has reached to 29,137 with 15 fatalities reported during the last 24 hours.

Over the last twenty four hours, total number of recovered COVID-19 patients across the country reached 1,271,087 after another 1,453 virus recoveries were reported.
