COVID-19: Pakistan reports 4,368 new cases, 63 deaths in last 24 hours

Lahore/Quetta/Karachi/Peshawar (Staff Report/Agencies): The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Pakistan rose to 645,356 on Friday after 4,368 new coronavirus cases surfaced in the country during the last 24 hours.

Overall 264,062 cases were confirmed in Sindh, 207,765 in Punjab, 82,677 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 19,427 in Balochistan, 54,347 in Islamabad 4,983 in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) and 12,095 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

According to the government's COVID-19 portal, the death toll related to coronavirus has reached to 14,091 with 63 fatalities reported during the last 24 hours.

Over the last twenty four hours, total number of recovered COVID-19 patients across the country reached 591,145 after another 2,170 virus recoveries were reported.

Meanwhile, Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood has said that the Cambridge Assessment International Education would hold O Level exams in Pakistan after May 15, but A Level exams would be held as per schedule.

However, Cambridge International made no announcement and the minister said the organisation would share the details later.
