COVID-19 vaccine registration for people above 50 to start from end of month

Islamabad (Web Desk): Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar has said that registration of people above fifty years of age for COVID-19 vaccination would be started from 30th of this month.

Umar, who is also Chairman National Command and Operation Center, called upon people to encourage everybody who is above 50 years of age to register themselves for vaccination.

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Pakistan rose to 645,356 on Friday after 4,368 new coronavirus cases surfaced in the country during the last 24 hours.

Overall 264,062 cases were confirmed in Sindh, 207,765 in Punjab, 82,677 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 19,427 in Balochistan, 54,347 in Islamabad 4,983 in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) and 12,095 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

According to the government's COVID-19 portal, the death toll related to coronavirus has reached to 14,091 with 63 fatalities reported during the last 24 hours.
