Woman killed in unprovoked Indian shelling in AJK's Bhimber district

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): A woman was killed in unprovoked firing and shelling during the early hours of Friday in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), the latest ceasefire violation by Indian forces, said a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the military’s public relations wing.

Deputy Commissioner Chaudhry Guftaar said that Farzand Begum, 60, wife of Noor Hussain, perished when a shell landed on her house and exploded. She was a resident of Naali village in Bhimber district.

Additional Station House Officer Hanif Ali confirmed that the shelling began in the area at around 3am, and the casualty occurred between 4 and 5am.
