Farooq Sattar, Amir Liaquat should be enlisted on ECL: ATC

According to details, ATC instructed the police to get in touch with the relevant authorities to put the names of MQM’s leader Farooq Sattar, Khalid Maqbool and Amir Liaquat on the Exit Control List.

Special public prosecutor Sheikh Sajid Mehboob told media, “ATC-II ordered Farooq Sattar, Aamir Liaquat and Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui’s names to be put on ECL in cases pertaining to the August 22 incendiary speech of party founder Altaf Hussain.”

He added, “The ATC-II judge also gave police 15 more days to make arrests of the absconding suspects”.

The court gave instructions after the police failed to produce the absconder in front of the court for the past several hearings of five identical cases regarding the facilitation of hate speech and sedition.

ATC also issued fresh non-bailable warrants against the three accused and ordered the police to arrest and produce them in court in the next hearing of the case on March 13.
