The caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Friday assigned portfolios to the members of provincial cabinet, who took oath a day earlier.
According to details, S.M.Tanveer will be Minister of Energy and Industries, Dr. Javaid Akram Specialized Healthcare, Ibrahim Murad Local Government, Bilal Afzal Communications and Excise, Dr. Jamal Nasir Primary and Secondary Healthcare, Mansoor Qadir of Higher Education and Schools Education, Syed Azfar Ali Nasir Zakat, Auqat and Religious Affair while Amir Mir has been assigned the portfolio of Information and Culture.
On Thursday night, eight members of the caretaker cabinet of Punjab took oath at the Governor’s House in Lahore.
Punjab Governor Muhammad Balighur Rehman administered oath to the caretaker cabinet.
Punjab Chief Secretary Chaudhry Zahid Akhtar Zaman read out the notification about their appointments.
Out of the 11 cabinet members, 8 took oath of their offices, while three others, including Wahab Riaz, Tamkinat Karim and Naseem Sadiq couldn't attend the ceremony.
Punjab caretaker CM Mohsin Raza Naqvi, Punjab Chief Secretary Chaudhry Zahid Akhtar Zaman, provincial police chief Dr Usman Anwar and others were present at the solemn ceremony.
