Islamabad (Staff Report): The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday dismissed a petition seeking to bar prime minister’s advisor on finance Abdul Hafeez Sheikh from presenting the federal budget in the National Assembly.
IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah heard the petition.
The petitioner informed the court that Abdul Hafeez Sheikh could not present the budget, to which Justice Minallah asked where it was written in the rules who could present the budget.
After hearing the petition, Justice Minallah termed the petition untenable and dismissed.
