Lahore (Staff Report): Dr Zaffar Moeen Nasar has been appointed provisionally as University of the Punjab Vice-Chancellor (VC).
After formal approval by the governor Punjab Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana, secretary higher education issued a notification in this regard.
Dr Ishtiaq Ahmed would now head University of Sargodha while Dr Mohammad Zubair has been appointed as VC Muhammad Nawaz Sharif University of Engineering and Technology Multan.
The provisional Vice Chancellor for Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) would now be Dr Rukhsana Kausar.
A LHC division bench headed by Justice Mansoor Ali Shah had ordered the provisional appointment of the said VCs. The court took these names from the list of nominees finalised by the search committee constituted by the government.
