My movement is not to undermine any institution: Sharif says

Lahore (Web Desk): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif has said that his movement for justice is not directed against any institution but “aims at improving the system.”

The former prime minister said this while holding a consultative meeting with party leaders at his Jati Umra residence on Wednesday.

Sharif directed the party leaders to increase people-to-people across the country and said he would not sit at home anymore and reach out to people to tell them the ‘truth’ about his disqualification.

The meeting, besides other issues, discussed the prevailing political situation in the country and preparations for the upcoming general elections. The meeting also held deliberations on Sharif’s political rally in Kot Momin on Sunday.

National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, Senator Pervaiz Rashid, State Minister for Interior Affairs Talal Chaudhry, Minister for Privatisation Daniyal Aziz, Minister for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb, Prime Minister’s adviser Irfan Siddiqui, Musadik Malik, Hanif Abbasi and Maryam Nawaz attended the meeting.

“It is time for me to get active, reach out to people and deliver PML-N’s message to the masses,” he told the party leaders.

Meanwhile, Maryam Nawaz smells an anti-state conspiracy in the wake of the press conference jointly addressed by Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chairman Tahirul Qadri and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan.

“Qadri and Imran’s closeness indicates that a conspiracy is being hatched against the state, democracy, and government,” Maryam tweeted.

“Conspirators don’t have an agenda for the nation,” she wrote. “Bringing these people together is just another scheme to create chaos. They are just brought together, through a conspiracy, to create unrest but the people understand these tactics.”
