State organs should act within domains stipulated by constitution: PM Shehbaz

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday reiterated his stance that all the state institutions should act within the ambit of Constitution.

In a post on Twitter, the premier said, "It is important that all state organs act within the domains stipulated by Constitution."

PM Shehbaz emphasized that his speech in the National Assembly focused on the smooth working of democratic system.

"The core of my argument during my speech at National Assembly was that for a democratic system to work smoothly and effectively," the prime minister said, adding that without understanding this, we will be moving in a circle, getting nowhere.

In his speech on floor of the house on Wednesday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that every institution will have to exercise its powers within the ambit of the Constitution.

He said the role of every institution, including the judiciary, the executive and the Parliament, has been well defined in the Constitution.

PM Shehbaz said that the Constitution will continue to guide and strengthen Pakistan no matter how much someone tries to meddle with it.

He said the coalition government is cognizant of the fact that the country is facing huge challenges on the economic front but we will continue to serve the nation at all costs.

The prime minister said that the government would make Pakistan to emerge as a great country despite prevailing mammoth economic challenges.
